WELCOME TO BRSA

SOCCER IS LIFE
We provide recreational soccer programs, for the ages of 5 years old up to 18, through community sponsored games. These games emphasize FUN, and try to de-emphasize winning at all costs. Every child is guaranteed playing time and the game is taught in a fun and enjoyable atmosphere. The general objectives of our Recreational Soccer program are for kids to improve their basic athletic ability, learn soccer techniques and skills, have fun, and learn and practice good sportsmanship.
Our organization is a part of the Southern Maryland Youth Soccer League (SMYSL) which is under the cognizance of the Charles County Public Facilities Parks & Recreation Program. BRSA serves an area that surrounds the Bryans Road area heading West to Marshall Hall; North to the P.G.County line; South toward Glymont and Ripley Road over to Bumpy Oak Road toward the Railroad tracks; and, then East towards Bennsville at Rt 229 area on over to the PG County line.
As an extension to our soccer program, we also offer PeeWee soccer for 2, 3 and 4 year olds. Contact Robin Kegg for information at robinspeeweesoccer@comcast.net or go to www.robinspeeweesoccer.net for further information.

The dates for our BRSA Summer 2013 Soccer Camp has been set. It will be during the week of July 22nd to 26th at Pomonkey Soccer Complex. More information and Registration Forms will be posted soon.
BRSA Night with D.C. United
BRSA Club Night with D.C. United will be held Saturday, June 15th at RFK Stadium at 7:00pm. DC United will host the Toronto FC. This is a unique opportunity for your child to be on the field during pre-game festivities. They can serve as flag carriers/holders - or - serve as ball handlers during the game on the sidelines (a perfect spot to watch the game too). This is a great opportunity for the kids and for the BRSA organization. Please note that kids must be age 9 and up to get on the field as Flag Carriers and age 13 and up to be ball handlers. There are limited spaces and they will be filled on a first to commit with paid seat basis @ $26.00 per seat. You can contact us by email at brsanet@hotmail.com or meet Cam Ballard at the Pomonkey soccer fields on his practice days (Tuesday and Friday evenings). Other kids may have a chance to have pre-game field passes, to be determined by DC UNITED AT A LATER DATE. Thanks to Mr. Andrew Serio, DC United Account Executive who was hand during our Picture Night to talk with folks and to coordinate events between BRSA and DC United. Thanks for the Hand Outs Andy...

MICHELLE'S 2013 CUP TOURNAMENT WAS A GREAT SUCCESS
The 4th Annual Michelle's Cup Tournament was held Saturday, March 23, 2013. It was another successful event and we want to thank those who came out early to set up, referee, coach, sell food, sell raffle tickets, clean up at the end of the day, and to make this a fun event for our kids in every way. Proceeds from the event will be used to hold a community summer soccer camp conducted by Sensible Soccer UK and a separate donation to the Spring Dell Center in La Plata, MD where Michelle worked helping handicapped individuals. We have some great action photos from that day of our kids. Please visit our BRSA Shutterfly photo website to view these and more.
The tournament was in memory of Michelle Ballengee, a 2003 graduate of Lackey High school and former youth player, coach and referee of our community. Michelle returned to the area after college and was a beloved coach of the organization when she was tragically killed in a car accident in 2009. With the help from local businesses and volunteers from the community, BRSA is able to provide an event where over 150 of the association members participate in an all day soccer tournament. All participants received a free t-shirt and awards were presented to all registered players.
Michelle had come back as an adult to help coach and mentor our kids," so we're trying to keep that spirit of life going."
